“ What a delight! Not many places you can eat "proper " homemade cakes and scones whilst taking in the views of an old-fashioned cobbled stone marketplace. Took me back to my youth. The little egg timer, which indicates the ultimate time to brew your tea, was a lovely surprise. The staff were very welcoming to 2 non Yorkshire oldies. Only 2 disappointments 1. We already had lunch and could only have cake. 2. This was our last day in Thirsk. But.....we will be back ”
